Symptoms:

Itching is a term used to describe a condition, which characterizes the uneasy irritation of the skin. It is during itching that the person feels like scratching that particular affected area. Itching is not a chronic ailment, but a very common problem that can affect anyone at any point of time. Itching can take place in the whole body or in some specific body part. 

Common Symptoms of Itching:

  • Skin turns reddish
  • Scaly patches
  • Development of blisters
  • Scraped skin
  • Prolonged scratching

Common Causes of Itching:

  • Sunburn
  • Contact with chemicals
  • Certain infectious diseases
  • Insect bites
  • Allergy
  • Presence of parasites on the body
  • Dryness of skin
  • An unfavorable medication
  • Cold weather
  • Exposure to water and hot baths
