About 2/3 of kidney cysts occur in people over 50 years old. They often are discovered when having the routine physical examination. Most kidney cysts will not cause any symptoms until they get bigger than 5 cm.
The growth and enlargement of renal cysts are the results of both internal and external factors. The cysts may change with the environmental changes, such as renal toxic substances, the patients’ mood, fatigue, diet. They directly influence the growing rate of the cysts. The epithelial cells of the cyst wall can secrete cystic fluid which is another reason why the cysts continue growing.
Western medicine uses surgery to remove the cysts from the kidney. This approach removes the cysts, but there is some risks involved with surgery. And surgery may potentially cause some impairment to the remaining kidney tissue.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy was developed at the Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital. There are three characteristics of the Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy:
First, medicines can reduce the production of the cystic fluid, so as to relieve the pressure of the cysts on the glomerulus, kidney tubules and the blood vessels. Thus, the blood circulation of the kidney can be improved.
Second, ischemia and anoxia may start the process of renal fibrosis, and renal structures will be irreversibly damaged, and renal function may be lost gradually. The active substances of the Micro-Chinese medicines can block renal fibrosis to make sure that the remaining kidney tissues will be protected.
Third, the active substances can also supply vitamins, trace elements, organic acid, gamma-aminobutyric acid etc for repairing the damaged kidney.
The active substances of the Micro-Chinese medicines can activate the DNA of the damaged cells and promote replication and the synthesis of new protein. So the damaged kidney tissue can be repaired and the functions of the kidney tissue can be gradually recovered.
