What side effects can this medication cause?  

Levofloxacin may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

• upset stomach
• diarrhea
• vomiting
• stomach pain
• headache
• restlessness

Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

• skin rash
• itching
• hives
• difficulty breathing or swallowing
• swelling of the face or throat
• yellowing of the skin or eyes
• dark urine
• pale or dark stools
• blood in urine
• pain, inflammation, or rupture of a tendon
• rapid, irregular, or pounding heartbeats

Levofloxacin may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.
