Pneumococcal pneumonia may begin suddenly. You may first have a severe shaking chill which is usually followed by

·         Cough

·         Shortness of breath

·         Rapid breathing

·         Chest pains

Other symptoms may include

·         Vomiting

·         Headache

·         Tiredness

·         Muscle aches
