Sulfisoxazole comes as a tablet and a liquid to take by mouth. Sulfisoxazole is usually taken four times a day for 10-14 days or longer. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Shake the liquid well before each dose to mix the medication evenly. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take sulfisoxazole exactly as directed.
