• Fast and professional peer review. All articles are reviewed by medical professionals, to ensure readability and accuracy of both new and edited articles. We have a special section named “Grand Rounds-Case Studies”, where Medical Students, Residents and Fellows may post interesting cases with diagnostic studies and differential diagnosis. Other students and health professionals from around the world can read and comment on these studies, and may provide different opinions and insight on a timely basis
• Rapid publication. Because we are an online medical resource, once an article, edit or Case Study is accepted there is no significant delay in publishing it online
• Reader responses. Peer review and publication is only the first step in this innovative, dynamic wiki medical resource. Equally important is the correspondence and feedback that an article may generate in the Discussion Forums. The Grand Rounds section is the perfect place to engage the scientific community in a discussion of interesting clinical cases to debate the importance of your findings
• Author-friendly editing. Unlike other leading publications, we will not totally rewrite your article to conform to specific style. We will, of course, help authors whose first language is not English. Outside of the Grand Rounds section we allow users to post changes to articles unless you request that the article be non-editable. No matter what section you post your original article in, it will always be available in its full form. Members who submit accurate information on a regular basis may be invited to become published Associate Editors
• Wide dissemination. By posting online your content is always in circulation. By posting to Healthocrates.com your submissions will be included in all the medical search engines we post to. You reap the benefit of all our efforts to distribute our content. This means your work has the potential to reach a broad audience worldwide
• Your research has the chance to have a high impact. There are a number of ways of measuring a journal's impact, how widely read its papers are, and how frequently the papers are cited by other researchers. As a verifiable accurate source of information, you have the potential to have your articles referenced elsewhere in the medical community
• Publicity. Get your name in lights. After five contributions, we allow our authors to have their own wiki page, where they can create their own biography page and reference other publications both on and off Healthocrates.com. We have a full Web Development Team constantly working on the site to deliver it to the broadest possible audience
